Nora Matulić Sumić

Nora commenced her law career in 1980 as an attorney trainee in law office of attorney at law Vojislav Pavasović in Split. Thereafter she worked in the Sales Department of Shipbuilding Industry Split dealing with ship insurance and contracts and in 1988 become Head of Legal Affairs. In 1991, she started working in a shipping company from Split, where she acted as Legal Affairs and Insurance Director and company’s general attorney.
In 2000, she started her private legal practice in Split. In 2015, she founded the Law Firm Matulić Sumić & partneri together with Ivan Sumić.
In her practice she represented many private and corporate clients, including Croatian and foreign shipping companies, shipyards, P&I clubs and banks, with focus on transactions involving ships acquisition and financing. She performed legal due diligence and participated in documents preparation for acquisition of a Croatian bank. She advised a Croatian ministry in the case of removal of wrecks after grounding. She represents clients in courts and arbitration proceedings. Beside cases involving maritime and shipbuilding law she also represents and advises clients in commercial contracting, corporate matters and investment projects.
She speaks English and Italian languages.
Nora is a member of the Croatian Maritime Law Association.
